Surface prep is the job
Paint shows every flaw underneath it. Before painting we fill and sand holes, fix cracks and failed tape joints, spot-prime repairs and caulk trim gaps so the finished walls look uniform in any light. For drywall work, we finish to the level the space calls for, including smoother finishes where strong side light would reveal imperfections.
Old plaster, new drywall
Much of the Hudson Valley’s older housing stock still has original plaster walls. They’re solid and worth keeping, but they crack as houses settle and seasons change. We repair plaster properly instead of just smearing compound over the cracks, and when a section is too far gone we replace it with drywall and blend the transition.
